Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide holistic, quality, cost-conscious care for a patient population within a unit or service. You will apply the nursing process within our Framework for Professional Practice and supervise care as assigned.

The position requires Connecticut RN license, an ASN or higher, and BLS certification. Experience in Women's Health or postoperative care is preferred; maternity experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.
• Maternal/Newborn experience preferred.
• One year nursing experience required; previous maternity experience preferred.
• Experience in Women's Health or postoperative care desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families within a unit or service.
• Applies the nursing process within the Framework for Professional Practice and delegates appropriately.
• Reports to Unit Manager and ensures patient safety and care continuity.
