Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide holistic nursing care to patients and families in a maternity/newborn focused unit. The RN will apply the nursing process within Hartford HealthCare's framework, delegating tasks and supervising support staff as needed to maintain high-quality, cost-effective care.

The selected candidate will hold a Connecticut RN license (ASN required, BSN preferred) and have BLS certification. Prior maternity/postoperative experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; ASN required, BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients and families within a unit or service.
• Applies the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice.
• Delegates and supervises work appropriately and reports to Unit Manager.
