Job summary

Hartford Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a registered nurse for a 36-hour-per-week night shift position. You will provide holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients and families, applying the nursing process within our professional framework.

Responsibilities include delegating and supervising care as a clinically competent professional, and reporting to the Unit Manager. Experience in maternal/newborn, women's health, or postoperative care is valued.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school ASN Required, BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.
• Maternal/Newborn experience preferred.
• One year nursing experience required; previous maternity experience preferred.
• Experience in Women's Health or postoperative care desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patient population within a unit, service or other primary area of practice with an awareness of the episode of care.
• Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice.
• Functions as clinically competent. Delegates and supervises work appropriately.
• Reports to Unit Manager.
