Job summary

Mountain View Hospital invites applications for a Postpartum Educator/RN to join our team in Idaho Falls. The role requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities, with responsibilities to support postpartum staff education and orientation.

You will work collaboratively with unit educators, department leaders, the DON and compliance team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities, including in‑services and continuing education for nursing

Qualifications

• Diploma from accredited nursing program and Idaho RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, BBNC, and STABLE certifications as required.
• Clinical postpartum experience and ability to lead education and orientation.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Promotes department services within the organization’s mission.
• Coordinates and integrates services with other departments.
• Develops, updates, and supports policies and procedures in Policy Stat.
• Facilitates orientation, in-service education, and continuing education.
• Mentors and coaches staff; provides ongoing feedback.
• Meets with orientee progress and monitors performance.
• Identifies and resolves problems with initiative and good judgment.
• Maintains rapport with patients and staff.
