The role emphasizes training, coaching and education to advance nursing practice and ensure high-quality patient care across the Women’s Health services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Two years of progressive nursing experience in a designated specialty; three months of preceptor experience.
• BLS from the American Heart Association; licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse or multi-state RN license.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in training, coaching and mentoring staff through promotion and delivery of high-quality nursing care.
• Orient, educate and develop nursing staff to ensure competence and ability to fulfill responsibilities.
• Provide support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors to ensure a smooth transition into practice and work environment.
• Integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet clinical and social adjustment needs of all team members.
• Participate in design, delivery and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression.
