Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church, VA seeks an RN Clinical Educator to support Adult Inpatient, Women’s and Heart and Vascular departments. The hybrid role combines formal education and mentorship to onboard clinicians and promote evidence-based practice.

The Educator will coordinate competency assessments, develop education plans, and contribute to patient safety initiatives, with regular office hours and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or BSN and enrolled in Master's program within 3 months.
• 2 years of progressive nursing experience in designated specialty; 3 months as preceptor.
• BLS from American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Assess the competency of new nursing staff using system tools with a focus on quality and safety goals.
• Integrate theory, evidence-based practice and clinical expertise into educational experiences for staff at all levels.
• Prepare annual self-development plans and professional goals; pursue growth opportunities.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
