Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Postpartum Unit on a part-time basis. The role involves assisting nurses with patient care on the Antepartum unit and floating to units across Evanston Hospital as needed.

You will work under an RN, perform vital signs, samplings, and routine tasks to support patient comfort and safety, and participate in care planning and discharge preparation. Weekend rotations apply with schedule efficiency.

Qualifications

• CNA training preferred.
• At least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care on the Antepartum unit.
• Assist with vital signs, EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter, IV removal, specimen collection, bathing, and daily patient care tasks.
• Assist with implementing a patient-specific care plan.
• Participate in activities essential to the functioning of the patient care unit.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote a high quality patient experience.
