Job summary

Clinch Valley Health in Richlands, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women's Services to work full-time night shifts (7p-7a) with rotating weekends. You will provide compassionate obstetric care and coordinate with a close-knit team across antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum and nursery services.

Applicants must hold a Virginia RN license, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification within stated timeframes; 6 months of L&D experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia state or compact state RN license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• NRP certification within 30 days of hire.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within two years and within one year of hire.
• 6 months of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely documentation of medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
