Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Postpartum Manager RN for evening shifts to lead, mentor and coordinate clinical operations on the maternity unit. You will ensure safe, evidence-based care, optimize throughput, and drive patient-focused outcomes in a high-volume setting.

The role requires BSN, RN licensure in Texas, neonatal resuscitation within 90 days, BLS, and supervisory experience. ACLS is preferred, with 1+ year in healthcare and supervision expected.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice (TX or eligible through compact license)
• BSN required; specialty certification within 6 months of hire
• Neonate Resuscitation certification within 90 days of employment
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1+ year healthcare experience and 1+ year supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily unit operations and staffing to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Lead efforts to optimize patient safety, outcomes, and adherence to standards of care.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Manage admissions and discharges for efficient throughput and quality care.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and assign staff with appropriate competencies.
• Provide leadership to deliver exceptional patient experiences and drive improvements in satisfaction.
• Identify development needs and training opportunities for staff.
