Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking an experienced Postpartum Manager RN (Evenings) to lead the unit with a focus on safety, quality, and patient experience. You will oversee staffing, enforce evidence-based practices, and drive efficient care coordination for moms and newborns in a busy, multi-specialty setting.

The role requires a BSN, an active Texas RN license, and a minimum of 1 year in healthcare with supervisory experience; neonatal resuscitation and ACLS are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Neonate Resuscitate certification required within 90 days of employment start date.
• BSN degree and active RN license in Texas.
• Minimum 1+ year healthcare experience and 1+ year in supervisory role.
• Specialty certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily unit function and staffing to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Lead evidence-based practices to enhance safety and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory standards and accrediting bodies.
• Coordinate admissions/discharges for efficient throughput and care.
• Foster interdisciplinary teamwork and a positive patient experience.
