Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Postpartum Mother-Baby Unit is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse dedicated to compassionate care for new Moms and Infants. The 30-bed unit focuses on healing, education, and safe mother-infant bonding during the post-partum stay.

The role features a day shift from 7am to 7pm. Candidates should hold a Virginia or Compact license, BLS, and an RN credential (ASN/ADN/BSN/Diploma). One year RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year RN experience preferred.
• Virginia or Compact multi-state license required in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• RN qualifications (ASN/ADN/BSN or Diploma).

Responsibilities

• Assess mothers and infants to ensure healing and safety.
• Provide self-care education to new Moms.
• Support rooming-in of mother and baby and educate on infant care.
