Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Mother-Baby Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shift to care for new moms and their infants in a 30-bed unit.

This role requires Virginia RN license, BLS within 90 days of hire, and prior Women’s Health experience is preferred. A sign-on bonus up to $20,000 is offered for qualified candidates. You will assess, educate on infant care, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support families.

Qualifications

• RN degree required.
• Virginia RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum nursing care to mothers and infants in a 30-bed Mother-Baby unit.
• Perform nursing process and ensure patient safety and education.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support mother-infant bonding and newborn care.
