Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Postpartum Lactation Consultant role on the Day shift. As part of the nursing team, you will collect assessments, develop individualized care plans, and support patients and families through care delivery and discharge planning.

You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff, document care accurately, and apply nursing principles to promote safe, compassionate postpartum care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Washington RN License upon hire.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
• NRP certification (American Academy of Pediatrics) upon hire.
• 1 year nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects assessment data and develops a care plan with measurable outcomes.
• Evaluates patient response and adjusts care; documents changes.
• Delivers nursing care and teaches; documents discharge planning.
• Communicates with patients, families and healthcare team; participates in rounds.
• Maintains patient safety and prioritizes care based on acuity.
