Job summary

Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Post-Partum/Antepartum, GYN surgery, and M/S overflow in a varied PRN, in-person role. The unit supports mothers and newborns with safe, family-centered care.

You will assess, educate, and coordinate plans with the Labor & Delivery and Nursery teams, while following acuity needs and policy. NC RN license and ADN required; BLS, ACLS, PALS within 6 months; 1 year postpartum/Med-Surg experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current RN license to practice in NC.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• One year of postpartum or Med-Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care prioritizing safety and reducing medical errors.
• Assesses patients and identifies needs; initiates nursing interventions as appropriate.
• Maintains and communicates patient condition to care team and family.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans; completes interdisciplinary care plans.
• Educates patients and families considering age, culture, and condition.
• Coordinates transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support.
