Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to deliver high-quality patient care in designated primary or specialty areas. The role includes education, supervision of APP students, and collaboration with physicians to manage treatment plans.

The position emphasizes leadership, patient-centered care, and adherence to Parkland policies, with opportunities to contribute to community health education and program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree for PA with ARC-PA accreditation.
• Master’s degree or DNP for APRN with CCNE/ACEN accreditation.
• 3+ years of clinical APP experience; or 5+ years in any field.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• TX PA licensure or TX APRN licensure with Family or Women’s Health authorization; CNM/CNS/APRN certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary or specialty care including history taking, exams, diagnoses and treatment planning.
• Educate patients and families to support self-management and follow-up care.
• Educate and supervise APP students and residents; serve as a clinical resource.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and institutional policies.
• Collaborate with PHHS staff to ensure patient-centered, high-quality care.
• Participate in QA/QI activities and ongoing professional development.
