Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking Advanced Practice Providers to deliver high-quality care at New Parkland Hospital. Positions require either a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with appropriate education and licensure.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree with ARC-PA admission for PAs or a Master’s degree in nursing with CCNE/ACEN accreditation for APRNs, plus Texas licensure and national certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• PA must have a Bachelor’s degree and ARC-PA accreditation.
• APRN must have a Master’s degree in nursing with CCNE/ACEN accreditation.
• Current Texas PA licensure and national PA certification required.
• APRN must have RN licensure in Texas and valid APRN license with appropriate FNP/ANP/etc. certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform histories, exams, assessments, orders, and care plans in designated specialty.
• Document findings accurately and manage time to optimize patient and provider resources.
• Educate patients and families for self-management and follow-up.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and refer as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Engage in PHHS education activities and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to boost efficiency and patient care.
• Attend regular staff meetings and assist in department goals.
