Job summary

Parkland Health, one of the nation’s largest public hospital systems in Dallas, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive care across designated primary or specialty areas, including diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. The role supports leadership in planning and implementing APP activities.

You will mentor practitioners and students, maintain licensure, and participate in continuous quality improvement, education, and PHHS programs.

Qualifications

• Requires active state licensure as PA or APRN in Texas.
• Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Ability to lead clinical practice and educate practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical practitioner duties in designated specialty area.
• Obtains histories, performs exams, orders tests to assess and determine diagnoses.
• Records health history, findings, treatment, and recommendations clearly.
• Manages time effectively to optimize resources.
• Consults with supervising physicians and refers patients as needed.
• Educates patients and families for self-management and follow-up.
• Supports collaboration to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction.
• Keeps current with practice guidelines and accreditation requirements.
