Qualifications

• Hold current Texas PA licensure and NCCPA certification.
• APRN candidates must hold an active Texas RN license (or compact license) and APRN license with Family or Women's Health certification; must have active NP certification (FNP or WHNP).
• Must meet Medical Staff Bylaws and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnoses in designated specialty areas.
• Orders tests and treatments, documents findings clearly, and manages patient care plans.
• Educates patients and families for self-management and follow-up.
• Trains, supervises, and evaluates APP students and residents; serves as a clinical resource.
• Keeps updated with advancements; participates in PHHS education activities and QA/QI projects.
• Maintains relationships with PHHS staff and ensures patient-centered care.
• Ensures compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and licensure requirements.
• Contributes to department goals and participates in committee work.
• Attends regular staff meetings and supports PHHS mission.
