Job summary

Magnera is seeking an HR support professional to interpret and apply HR policies while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws. You will assist in creating and maintaining a safe workplace, manage HR data, and prepare regular reports.

The role involves supporting recruitment activities, engaging with universities and other sources, and collaborating with training teams for new-hire orientation and onboarding processes.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of progressive HR, Business or similar studies or experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to work on sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities
  • Interprets and applies established HR policies ensuring compliance with Federal and State employment laws
  • Assist in maintaining and promoting a safe and healthy environment for employees
  • Ensure HR processes and procedures are consistently administered
  • Maintain HR database ensuring the accuracy of data andcompiling of HR reports
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
  • Keep abreast of employment law and current legislation in relation to HR
  • Support hourly recruitment effortsincluding reviewing job descriptions, placing job postings on applicable recruitment platforms,participate in interviews, evaluating applicant skills, and making recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications and skills
  • Develop and maintain relationshipswith universities and other recruitment sources
  • Participate and work collaboratively with the training team in the development and execution of new employee orientation programs and procedures for new hires
  • Track applicants and complete quarterly statistical information regarding new hires and the onboarding process
  • Participate in planning and execution of employee engagement events and activities
  • Other duties as assigned
