The role focuses on tumor immunology, cancer biology, and therapeutic responses in a collaborative academic environment. Ideal candidates hold a Doctorate and are within five years of completion, seeking mentorship and growth
Working independently but in close cooperation and in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists, the Postdoctoral Scientist will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout training period. This position offers the opportunity to conduct research in the Shiao Lab, within Radiation Oncology. The lab investigates how the immune system shapes and regulates responses to cancer therapies, with a particular focus on the complex interactions between immune and non-immune cells within the tumor microenvironment. Research in the lab examines how these cellular interactions influence anti-tumor immunity in response to therapies including radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapies, checkpoint inhibitors, and cellular therapies.
For a postdoctoral scientist looking to deepen their expertise at the intersection of tumor immunology, cancer biology, and therapeutic response, this is an opportunity to contribute to impactful research while developing their scientific expertise through close mentorship and collaboration.
This Postdoctoral Scientist opportunity within our Radiation Oncology Academic Research department is designed for individuals who have recently completed a PhD or other doctoral degree and are looking to build the next stage of their research career.
We are committed to providing a meaningful postdoctoral training experience centered on mentorship, scientific development, collaboration, and career growth. To align with the training objectives of the program, we are seeking candidates who are within 5 years of completing their doctoral degree.
If you are within this timeframe and excited to advance your research while learning alongside experienced investigators in a supportive, collaborative academic environment, we encourage you to apply.
