Reporting to Dr. D. Betsy McCoach, the Postdoctoral Research Scientist supports research under the Applied Modeling, Measurement, and Methodology (AM 3) Lab. The Postdoctoral Research Scientist conducts both substantive and methodological research in psychology and education.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

PhD in quantitative psychology, statistics, data science, educational measurement, or a related field.
Experience conducting a variety of statistical analyses, including multilevel analyses, longitudinal analyses, attrition and missing data analyses, moderation, and mediation analyses.
Experience creating a reproducible data management, analysis, and reporting pipeline.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

Interest in conducting both applied and methodological research in psychology and/or education.
Strong statistical programming skills in either R or Stata.
Strong academic writing skills and research productivity.
Excellent project and data management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective time management skills and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing and maintaining databases for research.
Proficiency in SQL .
Experience developing and deploying Shiny apps.
Experience creating statistical programs (such as R or Stata packages).
Experience conducting methodological research using Monte Carlo Simulation techniques.
Expertise in psychometrics.
Experience publishing peer-reviewed journal articles.
Expertise in multilevel and/or latent variable modeling.
Experience conducting cluster randomized or multisite cluster randomized trials.
Experience conducting cost analyses.
Experience preparing IRB submissions and/or preregistration reports.

Minimum Starting Salary

Minimum Starting Salary $75,000

Maximum Starting Salary

Maximum Starting Salary $80,000
