What You Need to Know

Salary Range: Starting Salary $50,000.00 to (Based on selected hire’s qualifications)

Responsibilities
  • Research and Lab Operations Design and Fabrication: Lead the development and optimization of cardiac patches and injectable biotherapeutics using advanced biomaterials and nanovesicle technologies.
  • Animal Models: Perform microsurgeries and longitudinal studies using small animal models of myocardial infarction or heart failure to evaluate therapeutic outcomes.
  • Data Acquisition: Utilize advanced imaging (e.g., echocardiography, MRI) and histological techniques to analyze cardiac function and tissue remodeling.
  • Documentation & Writing: Summarize results and draft high-quality manuscripts for publication in top-tier journals. Assist in the preparation of technical progress reports for sponsors (e.g., NIH, AHA).
  • Lab Maintenance: Ensure the worksite and specialized equipment (e.g., 3D bioprinters, surgical stations) are prepared, cleaned, and maintained according to safety standards.
  • Mentoring and Leadership Assist, mentor, and supervise PhD/PharmD students and undergraduate researchers working on cardiac repair projects Manage project timelines and ensure team compliance with laboratory protocols
  • Presentations & Dissemination Prepare and deliver presentation materials for departmental seminars and major national/international conferences (e.g., SFB, AHA) Actively participate in the preparation of grant applications and technical reports
  • Professional Development Participate in relevant seminars, workshops, or training to enhance skills
  • Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications
