Job summary

The Madhavan Lab in the Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate I. The position supports an NIH-funded project studying therapeutic effects of novel drugs in PD rodent models, with mentorship from two senior investigators and a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Candidates should have a PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience or related fields and a strong publication record; visa

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience or related field required.
• Experience with rodent models preferred.
• Strong publication record and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead a research project in collaboration with the PI and lab members.
• Develop and pursue new experimental directions.
• Advance technical aspects and mechanistic understanding of biological problems.
• Mentor junior lab members and maintain detailed records.
• Disseminate findings in meetings and manuscripts; contribute to grant proposals.
