Job summary

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s Neurology Department invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the Napierala laboratory. The group studies neurodegenerative disorders with emphasis on gene regulation, repeat instability, and biomarker discovery, using iPSC models and mouse systems. Candidates should hold a Ph.D.

or M.D. and have experience in mammalian cell culture or mouse models, with strong molecular biology skills and a track record of peer‑reviewed publications.

Qualifications

• Recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.
• Experience in mammalian cell culture or working with mouse models of neurological disorders, with proficiency in basic molecular biology techniques leading to publication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement novel research methods.
• Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments.
• Plan and manage research projects, interpret data, and prepare presentations and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Contribute to grant applications.
