Job summary

UC Irvine invites applications for a full‑time post‑doctoral researcher position in environmental neurotoxicology. The lab investigates genetic and environmental interactions in Alzheimer’s disease, using rodent models, iPSCs, and various in vitro assays to study neuroinflammation, aging, and environmental risk factors.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in neuroscience, toxicology, pharmacology, biology, or chemistry.
At least 3 years of post‑doctoral experience.
Excellent data analysis skills and familiarity with statistical analysis software.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English.
Ability to work independently with occasional supervision.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Dr. Kitazawa and team to establish iPSC maintenance, differentiation, and optimization to neurons.
Participate in animal breeding, behavior testing, exposure, and drug treatment regimens.
Publish original research in high‑impact peer‑reviewed journals.
Present relevant work at scientific meetings.
Support writing of progress and final reports.
