The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, seeks a Postdoctoral Associate in medicinal chemistry to join a dynamic translational team focused on early stage drug discovery. The role combines SAR-driven synthesis, analytical characterization, and collaboration across disciplines to advance lead compounds toward clinical evaluation.

Ideal candidates hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, with strong synthetic organic chemistry skills, SAR design experience, and a proven ability to design and document

Competenze

• Ph.D. in chemistry or equivalent degree.
• Strong skills in synthetic organic chemistry, compound purification and structural characterization.
• Excellent literature search skills and ability to design SAR studies.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.

Mansioni

• Conduct SAR studies to optimize lead compounds.
• Design analogs using computer-aided modeling and literature research.
• Synthesize and analyze target molecules using NMR, MS/IR/UV, HPLC.
• Generate drug-like candidates for progression to clinical studies.
