Job summary
The Neginskaya Laboratory at The Ohio State University's Department of Physiology and Cell Biology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar to study mitochondrial permeability transition and its role in ischemia-reperfusion injury in heart and brain.
The successful candidate will use interdisciplinary approaches including patch-clamp electrophysiology, live-cell imaging, cryo-EM/cryo-ET, and cross-linking mass spectrometry to advance mechanistic understanding and contribute to NIH-funded
Qualifications
- PhD in biochemistry, cell biology, biophysics, physiology, or related field.
- Strong publication record and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in mitochondrial biology, membrane protein biochemistry, electrophysiology, or advanced imaging.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute experiments to investigate mitochondrial dysfunction in ischemia-reperfusion.
- Collect and analyze data for NIH and other funders.
- Develop and troubleshoot new experimental techniques and protocols.
- Present work at national and international conferences and contribute to manuscripts.
