Job summary

The Institut Pasteur invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship funded by ANR in microbiome studies. The successful candidate will join the Biology and Genetics of the Bacterial Cell Wall Unit led by Ivo G.

Boneca to study Helicobacter pylori and peptidoglycan fragment release using organoids, gut-on-chip and in vivo models. Candidates should have strong microbiology and biochemistry expertise, plus experience in mass spectrometry, cellular/animal models and confocal microscopy.

Qualifications

• Strong microbiology and organoid experience required.
• Experience with imaging techniques such as confocal microscopy is preferred.
• Interest in microbiome and peptidoglycan biology advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Study Helicobacter pylori mechanisms of peptidoglycan release in organoid and in vivo models.
• Apply organoid, gut-on-chip and imaging approaches to immunomodulation by peptidoglycan fragments.
• Collaborate with international teams on project milestones.
