Job summary

Genentech is seeking an independent Postdoctoral Fellow to work with Aviv Regev’s lab on developing edge algorithms for single-cell genomics, spatial data, and perturbation screens with high-content data to understand cellular programs in health and disease.

You will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary group and work on independent projects leveraging internal collaborations across Research & Development. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $106,500, with relocation benefits available.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated record with at least one first-author or co-first author paper in a top journal or conference.
• Technically rigorous, bold and creative.
• Excited about biology and human disease; developing and applying new computational algorithms.
• Able to present complex results to interdisciplinary audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research applying edge algorithms to single-cell genomics, spatial data, and perturbation screens.
• Collaborate across Genentech's Research & Development with scientists from multiple disciplines.
• Present findings clearly to computational biologists, biologists, clinicians.
