Job summary

Genentech in California seeks an independent Postdoctoral Fellow to develop edge algorithms for single-cell genomics, spatial data, and perturbation screens with high-content molecular imaging data to study cellular programs in health and disease.

You will join Aviv Regev’s lab in a collaborative, interdisciplinary group and lead independent projects leveraging collaborations within the group and across R&D to push forward discoveries in biology and medicine.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field such as Computational Biology, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics.
• Demonstrated record of innovative scientific accomplishments with at least one first-author or co-first author paper in a top journal or conference.
• Technically rigorous, bold and creative, with a passion for biology and human disease.
• Ability to present complex results clearly to interdisciplinary audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply edge algorithms for analysis of single-cell genomics, spatial data and perturbation screens.
• Work on independent research projects leveraging collaborations within Aviv Regev's group and across R&D.
• Contribute to understanding cellular and multicellular programs in health and disease using high-content data.
