Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Post-Surgical Unit to deliver high-quality nursing care for post-operative patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, respond quickly to emergencies, and ensure optimal pain management and patient education.

Requires a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and a minimum of two years’ hospital Med/Surg or ICU experience. Experience with Electronic Health Records is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN License and BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum two years’ experience as an RN in a hospital Med/Surgery or ICU.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care for post-surgical patients within RN scope.
• Responds to emergencies and performs Medical Screening Exam as delegated.
• Plans, implements and evaluates nursing care per physician orders.
• Identifies educational needs and documents patient/family education.
