Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Post-Surgical Unit. The role supports post-surgical patients with direct nursing care, medication administration, and patient education in a 30-bed acute care surgical hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas RN license, current BLS, ACLS within 6 months of hire, and at least 2 years of RN experience in Med/Surg or ICU.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Texas RN license required.
• Current BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years’ RN experience in hospital Med/Surg or ICU.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care for post-surgical patients within RN scope.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care per physician orders.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations.
• Delivers medications based on ongoing assessment and safety.
