Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking a Construction Service Crew Member to repair and maintain buildings across sites. You’ll read plans, perform diverse repairs, and operate tools safely while working with a team in varied weather conditions.

Bonuses include $2,000 in the first year and $500 quarterly during the first year, with ongoing progressive pay and ESOP perks. Local travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building construction or carpentry; post-frame preferred.
• Willingness to participate in a training program.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Available to work 9–10 hours during peak season.
• Ability to take direction and produce quality work.
• Commitment to safety procedures.
• Maintain and operate construction tools safely.
• Operate safety equipment efficiently.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and working at heights up to 40 feet.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Learn, keep current with and apply Morton Buildings’ safety and construction procedures.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Perform repairs: doors, roofing, gutters, siding, footings, walls.
• Operate hand tools and equipment safely.
• Adapt to weather and physically demanding work.
• Work with crew in a safe, productive environment.
• Assist in organizing materials and daily planning.
• Think creatively to adapt to different repairs.
• Troubleshoot or problem solve as needed.
