Responsibilities
  • Research on remote sensing and modeling, focusing on surveillance protocols for BSNB in the southeastern U.S.
  • Develop sampling design frameworks to meet multiple objectives, ensuring statistical rigor.
  • Disseminate results through peer-reviewed journals, outreach, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Plantation Management Research Cooperative (PMRC) on forest biometrics projects.
Position Details

Type: Post-Doctoral Associate, 2-year appointment, full-time.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in forestry or related field. Experience in remote sensing, modeling, forest inventory sampling, statistics, and experimental design. Excellent communication skills.

Physical Demands & Additional Info

Field visits to rough terrain, some overnight travel. No security access or financial control responsibilities. Driving required.
