CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking an Investor Suspense Team Lead for our Post Closing group. You will lead daily operations, manage loan assignments, and serve as the first escalation point for the team, ensuring conditions are resolved efficiently.

The role requires 4+ years in post closing, 2+ years in team leadership, strong knowledge of Encompass, investor guidelines, and excellent communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years’ experience in a Post Closing role.
• 2+ years’ experience in a Team Lead or Senior Post Closing role.
• Experience working in Encompass, preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory rules and regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of agency and investor guidelines and overlays.
• Experience working with various loan programs and addressing investor conditions and exceptions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with internal employees and external vendors.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to determine solutions and identify alternative resolutions within acceptable guidelines.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Prioritizing to complete multiple tasks within established deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day tasks of the Post Closing Team.
• Serve as the first escalation point for the Post Closing Team for questions and file reviews.
• Review and balance the team’s loan assignments and workload.
• Provide employee development and coaching in one-on-one meetings.
• Assist with onboarding and training new hires and upskilling staff.
• Monitor team performance metrics and report on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and compliance.
• Review production and processes to identify trends for the Investor Suspense Manager.
• Pull daily investor reporting to identify suspended loans and balance files.
• Assist with Post Closing Team tasks as needed.
• Review and obtain clarification from investors to determine acceptability of cure.
• Monitor daily condition reports and updates on suspended loans.
• Monitor time on warehouse lines and advise of risk of curtailment.
• Monitor pipeline to ensure loans shipped are conditioned or purchased timely.
• Provide updates on loan status with investors to Post Closing Management.
• Ensure investor guidelines are followed and avoid suspense fees.
• Review and approve team check requests.
• Ensure Post Closing Team meets monthly purchased loan goals.

The Investor Suspense Team Lead addresses the resolution of conditions during purchase review for various investors. The Investor Suspense Team Lead handles loan level escalations and general questions from the Post Closing Team members to ensure the conditions and exceptions are resolved in a timely manner.
