Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking an Investor Suspense Team Lead to supervise the Post Closing Team and manage day-to-day tasks, escalations, and loan condition resolutions. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with investor guidelines.

You will guide onboarding, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with investors and internal teams to ensure timely closings. This position requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and proficiency in Encompass and Microsoft

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years in a Post Closing role.
• 2+ years in a Team Lead or Senior Post Closing role.
• Experience working in Encompass, preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory rules and regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of agency and investor guidelines and overlays.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external parties.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day tasks of the Post Closing Team.
• Serve as the first level escalation point for the Post Closing Team for questions and reviews.
• Review and balance the team’s loan assignments and task load.
• Provide employee development and performance coaching in one-on-one meetings.
• Assist with onboarding and training new hires to be upskilled as needed.
• Monitor team performance metrics and report on documentation accuracy and timeliness.
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and compliance within the team.
• Review production and processes to identify trends for management.
• Pull daily investor reporting to identify suspended loans and balance files.
• Provide updates on loan status with investors to the Post Closing Management Team.
• Ensure investor guidelines are followed and avoid suspense fees.
