Job summary

Arixa Capital is seeking a Post-Closing Associate to support the day-to-day post-closing process, reviewing and managing original mortgage loan collateral documents. This LA-based or PHX-based role requires collaboration with internal teams, closing agents, title companies, and custodians to ensure timely completion of post-closing requirements.

The position is in-office five days a week, reporting to the Post-Closing Manager, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent education/experience required.
  • 1-2 years mortgage banking or post-closing experience required.
  • Experience with collateral review and document custody preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce and LOS preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Review original executed loan and collateral documents for completeness and accuracy, including signatures, initials, notarizations, and required pages.
  • Identify document deficiencies and coordinate corrections or obtain missing documentation with internal teams, closing agents, title companies, and other external parties.
  • Prepare, organize, and track collateral files for shipment to investors, custodians, or secure storage, including manifests and shipment notice.
  • Maintain accurate loan, collateral, shipping, and post-closing status information in Salesforce and other applicable systems.
  • Monitor assigned post-closing pipelines, trailing documents, recorded documents, title policies, and outstanding conditions through completion.
  • Prepare and coordinate assignments and allonges, including execution, recording, tracking, and shipment as required.
  • Support collateral retrieval, payoff/buyback requests, and other custodian-related activity as assigned.
  • Escalate unresolved, complex, or higher-risk post-closing issues to the appropriate senior team member or Post-Closing Manager.
  • Communicate status updates and work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to meet departmental and service-level expectations.
  • Perform other post-closing and administrative duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Post-Closing Associate supports the day-to-day post-closing process by reviewing, tracking, and managing original mortgage loan collateral documents. This role ensures document accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company, investor, and custodian requirements. The Associate works closely with internal teams, closing agents, title companies, custodians, investors, and other external partners to ensure post-closing requirements are completed timely.

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Post-Closing Associate is an LA-based or PHX-based position on an in-office schedule five (5) days in-office. This position will report to the Post-Closing Manager. While not an exhaustive list, the Post-Closing Associate will be responsible for:

Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent education/experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of mortgage banking, mortgage operations, or post-closing experience required.
  • Experience with collateral review, document custody, collateral shipping, or mortgage quality control preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems; Salesforce and/or LOS experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and post-closing processes, including collateral documentation, recorded documents, title policies, assignments, and allonges.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and sound judgment in identifying post-closing issues and escalating as appropriate.
  • Active Notary Public license is desirable but not required.
  • Experience working with document custodians, investors, or collateral management.
Compensation

This position is non-exempt full-time, with Pay Range: $28-33/hourly plus discretionary bonus potential.
