Job summary

The Grants Accountant position at the University of South Dakota, within the Department of Grants Accounting, is a State of South Dakota funded, Career Service, overtime eligible role. Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and state laws and rules as they relate to finance and grants management.
• Experience with accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; Banner Financial System experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with post-award financial management of externally funded grants and contracts.
• Code post-award grant, fund, and budget in the financial system; monitor budgets and expenditures.
• Process reimbursements, tuition remission on grants, and assist with financial reports.
