Job summary

Bethany Christian Services is seeking a Post Adoption Specialist to support adoptees, birth and adoptive families across services. You will conduct monthly in-home visits, complete required paperwork, and maintain accurate case notes while connecting families with community resources.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field, a background in adoption or foster care, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in Social Work, Human Services, or equivalent field.
• Prior work experience in adoption and foster care.
• Demonstrated clinical and assessment skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of state, community, and agency resources.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, sometimes after normal business hours.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home visits and assessments on a monthly basis.
• Complete necessary paperwork for Post Permanency units of service from SWAN and maintain the file for Bethany Christian Services.
• Complete applicable files on the Post Adoption System (PAS) with case notes for all contact and interactions.
• Connect families to community resources and supports and participate in meetings as a client advocate.
• Complete billing paperwork for services monthly and on time.
• Provide guidance to adoptive families on the use of respite services and connect them to community resources.
• Attend trainings and participate in group clinical supervision.
