Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Acute Nursing (Skilled Nursing) Unit. This full-time role features day shifts (6:30–7:00) with rotating weekends and includes a commitment bonus of $15,000 over a two-year commitment.

You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, assess and plan for educational needs, supervise staff, collaborate with physicians and therapists, document in the EMR, and deliver safe care

Qualifications

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Plans, delegates and coordinates nursing care with the care team.
• Ensures ethical, professional practice and quality patient outcomes.
• Educates patients and families and documents care in the EMR.
• Operates within scope for adult, geriatric, adolescent and child populations.
• Maintains infection control and patient safety.
• Responds to emergencies and supports unit leadership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and monitoring.

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and staff.
• Educate patients and families and document responses.
