Job summary

Payroc is seeking a POS Setup Support Specialist in San Diego, CA. You will create and maintain configuration standards for hardware and software installed for clients, collaborating with implementation and solutions teams to ensure up-to-date images and solution stacks.

This hands-on, full-time role requires diagnosing mechanical, electronic, and software issues, with a focus on standardizing images and maintaining an up-to-date image catalog for all teams.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 2+ years of related experience with installing, upgrading, and repairing PCs and POS peripherals.
• Aloha POS system troubleshooting, repairs, and installation experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Set up full POS systems and configure and test functionality prior to shipping to a customer location.
• Manage out-of-box hardware failures and replacements ensuring minimal delays.
• Work with project managers to test database functionality and other modules being installed.
• Create, document, and maintain a corporate image catalog; communicate end-of-life images and new image introductions.
• Communicate to teams when new software versions become available, what they fix, and how they will be used.
• Standardize the way systems are staged prior to shipping or implementation.
• Test and validate all new products prior to main release with the Solutions Team.
