Job summary

ECRS is seeking a POS Implementation Specialist to serve as a customer-facing on-site expert for wiring, hardware, and software within our retail automation solutions. You will install, configure, train, and support stores to ensure successful operation of the POS system and related networking and security components.

The role requires extensive travel across the US, Canada, and Caribbean, strong problem solving, and a professional, customer-focused approach to deliver high-quality service,

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent field experience required.
• CATAPULT experience and familiarity with retail point-of-sale software/drivers preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, interpersonal skills, and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in retail or customer service with good communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (35-40 weeks/year), including weekends/holidays; capable of lifting 20+ lb.

Responsibilities

• Travel across the US, Canada, and Caribbean to implement POS Systems in diverse retail settings.
• Ensure successful implementation of software, networking, and security functions.
• Install hardware, configure software to fit client needs, and resolve hardware/software issues at client sites; troubleshoot and escalate as needed.
• Review all pertinent documentation prior to assigned installations.
• Document all activities per quality procedures.
• Manage customer accounts and satisfaction to exceed expectations in product, service, and support quality.
• Train customer's staff or direct them to training resources.
• Collaborate with ECRS internal staff on workflow and communication.
• Assist remotely with installations, support tasks, and miscellaneous duties when not in the field.
