Mobile Generation LLC is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist in Chicago to ensure POS transactions reflect actual payments and to investigate discrepancies. You will generate detailed reconciliation reports and work with finance and operations to implement solutions.

Ideal candidates have strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with frontline staff and management. This is a full-time role offering a competitive base salary and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in finance, accounting, or business administration preferred.
• 1 year of experience in reconciliation, accounting, or operations-related role.
• Experience with POS systems or retail operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily sales transactions in the POS system align with payments received.
• Investigate discrepancies to determine root causes (system, human, or operational).
• Prepare detailed reports on discrepancies and present reconciliation summaries to management.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and frontline staff to resolve issues and improve processes.
