Job summary

H-E-B is seeking an experienced POS Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for POS and retail accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role leads the Front End Services accounting team, providing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while supporting system updates and cross-functional partners including Front End Operations and Digital teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• GAAP and regulatory accounting knowledge.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials.
• Advanced MS Office and software skills, including databases and spreadsheets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Time-management and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple functional teams managing POS accounting processes.
• Oversee earnings, cash flow, profitability, and POS integrity.
• Ensure accurate daily reconciliation of store sales data to GL.
• Coach and mentor team; develop staff and cross-train.
• Support system updates, new business initiatives, and cross-functional partners.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
