Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. You will assist with month-end close, audits, and the preparation of statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, while delivering clear analytics.

You will develop accounting processes, post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and provide reports and tools to help management make informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional accounting roles with GAAP knowledge.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop/modify accounting segments including accounts, reports, and controls.
• Post journal entries including accruals, deferrals and reclassifications.
• Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Provide audit support and documentation for internal/external audits.
• Create reports, graphs, and charts to illustrate key business results.
• Support month-end close and financial planning processes.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
