Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, seeks a Project Manager to oversee PORTS program initiatives supporting the US Surface Navy.

You will liaise between the Program Manager, customers, and project teams to ensure schedules, budgets, and deliverables meet DoD requirements. Requirements include a DoD Secret clearance eligibility, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and at least 5 years of management experience with software development projects.

Qualifications

• US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
