Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the PORTS program supporting the US Surface Navy. You will coordinate between the Program Manager, customer, and project team to maintain schedules and performance against DoD requirements.

The role requires a US citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of management experience including P&L, and familiarity with software development projects. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaise between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; review work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
