Job summary

Det-Tronics, a global technology leader in industrial life safety solutions, seeks a Portfolio Project Manager in Minneapolis to oversee sustaining and new development projects for transmitter and toxic gas detector products. You will craft cross-functional plans, lead teams across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and marketing, and ensure projects meet schedule and budget targets.

The role requires 10+ years of PM experience in electromechanical products within a regulated environment,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• Min 10 years of related and successful work experience in project management of electromechanical products in a product manufacturing company.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of an electromechanical product including team selection, management, metrics tracking & reporting and communication with management.
• Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.
• Experience in highly regulated markets or life-safety products.
• Strong leadership, energy and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to build partnerships with sourcing, test, manufacturing and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Hands on management of the portfolio of projects across lifecycle, including hardware/software/firmware.
• Guide cross-functional teams (development, supply chain, planning, manufacturing, marketing) to meet goals.
• Define scopes for new project requests and prioritize within the portfolio.
• Develop plans and strategies to ensure on-time, on-budget execution with KPI tracking and budgets.
• Drive project execution and governance per company policies; contribute to process improvements.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders in regular meetings and communications.
• Identify and escalate project risks with mitigation plans.
• Track and report schedule, status, accomplishments, and resource needs.
