Job summary

Det-Tronics, a $200M global technology leader in industrial life safety solutions, is seeking a Portfolio Project Manager in Minneapolis, MN to lead sustaining and new development projects for the transmitters and toxic gas detector product group, coordinating hardware, software and firmware from design through end-of-life.

You will develop cross-functional plans, drive on-time and on-budget execution, guide teams across engineering, supply chain, planning, manufacturing and marketing, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• 10+ years of project management experience in electromechanical product manufacturing.
• End-to-end delivery leadership with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in regulated life-safety markets.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of transmitters and toxic gas detector projects from design to end-of-life.
• Guide cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, planning, manufacturing and marketing.
• Define project scope, assess impact, and prioritize within the portfolio.
• Develop plans and strategies to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
• Drive execution to schedules, following company policies and procedures.
• Act as main contact with customers, suppliers, and regulators.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
• Track and communicate project metrics, milestones and resource needs.
• Follow quality management systems for safety-critical products.
• Collaborate with Product Management/Marketing for benchmarking and positioning.
