Job summary

Santander Consumer USA Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Portfolio Management to work with Relationship Managers on underwriting new loans and developing non-profit relationships. You will participate in the approval process and accompany managers on customer calls.

Responsibilities include reviewing financials, testing covenants, monitoring dates, scheduling analyst workflows, and providing senior credit analyst support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education.
• Experience in credit structuring and underwriting and cross selling.
• Demonstrates experience and judgment with credit decisions and analysis.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills.
• Ability to present information clearly to groups or managers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites loans and participates in the approval process with Relationship Manager.
• Accompanies Relationship Manager on customer calls.
• Reviews financial statements and tests covenants for compliance.
• Monitors expiration dates 90 days ahead and manages workflows.
• Provides senior credit analyst support as needed.
• Underwrites credits as required.
